White camp on Slate Island
Coming in for supper

Lichen and berries
Lobster buoys
Across the cove
We met Charles Beal and his friend on Slate Island as they were coming in for supper after a day of fishing.
Filled with signs of old and new, the Slate Island camps have been used by many generations of the Beals family.
All over the island, lobster buoys wash ashore and are collected for retrieval and placed in this makeshift "lost and found" box.
Looking west across the cove at Dougie's mooring off Great Wass Island.
