27th Annual International Marine Art Exposition
Maritime Gallery at Mystic Seaport

The Maritime Gallery at Mystic Seaport presents the 27th annual International Marine Art Exhibition October 1 through December.

The Exhibition celebrates the timeless beauty of the sea in the most comprehensive exhibit of contemporary marine art in the nation. The Exhibition encompasses more than 100 new works, including sculpture, painting, scrimshaw and ship models by 123 noted marine artists including Geoff Hunt, Donald Demers and Ian Hansen, as well as new, emerging talent exhibiting for the first time in the Maritime Gallery.

Artists also represent countries around the world, including England, France, the Netherlands, Australia, Peru, Italy, Germany and the West Indies. Eight prestigious named awards and five awards of excellence will be given by invited judges Bruce Johnson, Chief Designer at Sparkman & Stephens, Inc, Samuel Scott, Associate Curator of Maritime Art and History at the Peabody Essex Museum and Jerry Roberts, Executive Director of the Connecticut River Museum.
